Sexual Contact with Juvenile

Correction Officer, Nathan McKnight, who was employed with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana, was arrested for “charges of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and Attempted Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.” McKnight’s regular assignment was at the Bossier Parish Correctional Facilities as a corrections officer.

The 23 year old officer was booked into jail on Wednesday. His bond was set at $150,000 and he was terminated by the Sheriff’s Office.

 

Lieutenant Arrested for DUI

Idaho – A Meridian Police Department lieutenant was arrested for Driving while Under the Influcence, in Orange Beach. Lt. John Griffith was pulled over after multiple people called the police department to complain about an individual driving recklessly. Lt. Griffith “refused to take a breathalyzer test and was booked into the Orange Beach City Jail and has since been released.” 

Lt. Griffith, who had previously been Captain Griffith, hadn’t been back at work for very long when this infraction occurred. He had been on a 10-day suspension, in addition to his demotion, for allowing a K-9 officer to refer to colleagues using racial slurs.

Assault, Official Oppression and Official Misconduct

Hickman County Deputy Scott Hull was arrested on Wednesday after an “eight-month-long investigation” led by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The TBI investigated two different complaints by individuals of excessive force by Deputy Hull. The investigation resulted in Hull being “charged with four counts of assault, two counts of official oppression, and two counts of official misconduct.” 

Before working with the Hickman County Sheriff’s Department, Scott Hull worked for the Dickson City Police Department. While there, he was investigated for allowing inmates access to dangerous contraband such as guns and alcohol. “Hull was placed on administrative leave after investigators say he left a knife, a bottle of whiskey and syringes in his personal locker.” Apparently inmates had access to the lockers as they passed by them. The Dickson City Police Department does have an evidence room and they do not allow evidence to be placed in personal lockers.

Deputy Scott Hull was fired by the Hickman County Sheriff’s Department for his latest crimes.

Domestic Violence

Kansas – Deputy Kellie Geiger with the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested on a charge of Domestic Violence Battery. Very little information was given about this arrest. Deputy Geiger has been with the Sheriff’s Office for six years. She was arrested by the Wichita Police Department for an assault on her intimate domestic partner. “In addition to the criminal case, an investigation is also being conducted by the Professional Standards Unit of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office.”
