06/29/2017 – Attempted Escape by Bexar County Inmate
A violent offender attempted to escape the Bexar County Jail by climbing into the ceiling. Steve Guidry was being housed in the mental health units when he made his attempted escape by accessing the ceiling. The maintenance personnel at the jail stated that there is no way to get out of the building through the ceiling. As a precaution, Bexar County deputies surrounded the building. Guidry was located and pulled out of the ceiling. Sheriff Salazar is looking into ways to keep this from happening again.
